Chapter 370 The Girl

After a while, Wang Yao heard the creaking sound of a door opening, followed by the crisp sound of horses' hooves. He was carried forward by the horse, passing through a deep alley that resembled a city gate. The blue stone pavement, shrouded in the shadows of torches, stretched endlessly before him.

There was not a sound of human voices around, only the sound of horses' hooves, the silent footsteps of people walking, and the clanging of metal parts of someone's armor, all mixed together slowly and rhythmically.

After several turns and several downhill and uphill stretches, the horse finally stopped again as the bluestone pavement gradually became clear in the morning light.

"Who is this?" a rather arrogant female voice demanded.

“The forger,” General Pei replied.

"A blacksmith? What are you doing bringing him here?" The haughty female voice asked with some surprise.

"he……"

"Huang Li, stop asking and let them in!" General Pei was about to explain when he was interrupted by a clear little girl's voice.

"Yes!" The woman's voice suddenly became gentle.

Wang Yao chuckled to himself; this woman did indeed share the same name as Xi Fu's big yellow dog. He was just about to try and look up at the goddess named Huang Li when he suddenly felt himself being lifted up again, slowly ascending the steps.

After climbing 999 steps and passing two enormous pillars, Wang Yao saw a thick carpet woven with white-beaked, red-clawed birds resembling crows, appearing on the ground under the morning light and torchlight. He found the pattern to be exquisite and beautiful.

The carpet slowly passed under him, and suddenly with a "thud," he was thrown onto the carpet. Fortunately, the carpet was made of some kind of silk or wool and was extremely soft, so Wang Yao didn't feel any pain when he fell on it.

"You guys are really annoying! You're here, why did you have to come see me?" The girl's clear voice rang out again, but her tone was quite unfriendly.

"Um... this humble general discovered divine beings in a mountain range near Darkmoon City..." General Pei seemed somewhat confused by the other party's attitude, and stammered as he reported.

"I won't listen! I won't listen! I hate it, I won't listen...!" The little girl suddenly screamed, interrupting General Pei's words. Wang Yao guessed that the expression on the little general's face at this moment must be extremely interesting.

"Why is this arrow still stuck there? Even a Qi Refining Immortal couldn't kill it. Is it glorious to leave it there?" As the girl's voice suddenly drew closer, Wang Yao felt a sudden darkness before his eyes and a sharp pain in his back. The arrow in his back had been pulled out.

"Lord God...!" General Pei's voice was already quite fearful.

"Your surname is Pei. You've already met me, the God Lord, in my Sea-Filling Divine Realm. I've remembered you. Now, take this broken arrow with you and get out of here! Get out of here, the farther the better!" The girl suddenly started screaming hysterically again as she spoke.

"Lord God..." Wang Yao felt that General Pei was about to cry.

"Why aren't you getting out of here? Lark, Thrush! Get him out of here right now! Get him far, far away! Take this broken arrow with him! Get out of here! I never want to see him again!"

"My Lord, I have an urgent military report to give you! I really have an urgent military report... Ah..." Wang Yao heard a chaotic commotion on both sides, which then gradually faded away, accompanied by General Pei's panicked cries.

"This damn God Lord is a lunatic." Wang Yao was secretly nervous. He was already half dead. If this lunatic messed with him again, it would be like mud falling into his crotch—he would be dead either way.

"I'm so angry, I'm so angry..." came the little girl's muttering voice from beside her ear.

"You, the Immortal of Forging, are causing trouble too! Instead of doing your trial mission, why did you run off to Optimus Prime to cause trouble? It's all your fault! Now I don't know whether to kill you or not, it's really... really annoying me to death!"

A delicate little foot wearing embroidered shoes stomped heavily in front of Wang Yao.

"My Lord, as the saying goes, man proposes, God disposes. This is all ordained by Heaven, so please don't worry too much." At this moment, a middle-aged woman's voice suddenly rang out from not far away.

"How can I not be annoyed? Fifty-two years, I've prepared for fifty-two years, and these guys have ruined it all. And this scoundrel, how did he suddenly appear at Optimus Prime? This matter is really strange, I need to investigate him thoroughly."

The girl's voice suddenly became serious.

"Hey, what are you doing at Optimus Prime's place?"

“My Lord, this blacksmith is seriously injured and probably can’t speak,” the middle-aged woman said again.

"Oh...then hurry up and treat him. Call me when he can speak. I want to interrogate this guy properly. If I find out who ruined my great plan, even the Heavenly Emperor won't forgive him!" the girl said resentfully.

"Yes, Lord God." The middle-aged woman responded, and soon Wang Yao felt himself enveloped by a fragrant breeze. Then, a strong sense of drowsiness washed over him, and he closed his eyes and fell into a sweet sleep.

"Wake up, wake up! This guy is dreaming about getting married. He's sleeping and still grinning like an lewd person. He looks so disgusting."

"Where is he lewd? I think he's alright. This is an immortal, isn't he? He doesn't seem any different from us gods."

"Are you swooning? What do you mean 'no difference'? Did you touch it or look at it? How come we didn't notice?"

"Are you trying to die? What kind of nonsense are you spouting? I'll tear your mouth apart!"

A burst of women's playful laughter drifted over, and Wang Yao frowned as he barely opened his eyes.
