Chapter 820 Transmission Power

Xu Yuehuai was shocked. She knew that the Grand Preceptor held a pivotal position in the four kingdoms, but she did not expect that he was already terminally ill.

She was filled with emotion and also admired the Grand Preceptor's composure.

Qi Guze stood to the side, his brows furrowed, clearly puzzled by the Grand Preceptor's words. He asked, "What exactly do you want?"

The Imperial Advisor smiled slightly, not answering directly, but turning to Qi Guze and saying, "You are my best successor!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a mist suddenly appeared inside the dilapidated temple, blurring the entire space. Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai felt dizzy, as if the whole world was spinning.

Suddenly, Xu Yuehuai's body went limp and she fainted. Qi Guze's heart tightened, and he quickly supported Xu Yuehuai.

He turned to look at the Imperial Advisor, his eyes filled with rage: "If anything happens to Yue Huai, I'll make you pay with your life!"

The Imperial Advisor remained calm and said indifferently, "Don't worry, I'm just letting her take a nap."

Although Qi Guze had some doubts, seeing that Xu Yuehuai was safe and sound, he was temporarily relieved. At this moment, the Imperial Preceptor slowly walked to Qi Guze's side, gently placed his hands on his shoulders, and began to transfer his energy to him.

Qi Guze felt a powerful surge of internal energy enter his body, catching him off guard. He tried to struggle, but found that his body seemed to be controlled by an invisible force, unable to move.

The Grand Preceptor looked at him, his eyes filled with weariness, but a smile still lingered on his lips. He said softly, "Child, this is the culmination of my life's work, and my way of giving back to the four kingdoms. You must cherish it."

Qi Guze felt a mix of emotions. He understood that the Imperial Advisor had placed all his hopes and dreams on him. He gritted his teeth, trying to control his body and stop resisting.

Gradually, Qi Guze felt that powerful internal force begin to merge into his meridians and become one with his own internal force.

His body gradually regained its freedom, no longer controlled by that invisible force. The Imperial Advisor looked at him and nodded in satisfaction.

Then he turned around and looked out at the night sky outside the dilapidated temple.

There, the stars twinkled, as distant and beautiful as his past.

“Everything is preordained,” the Grand Preceptor murmured to himself. “Now I have entrusted everything to Qi Guze, and I only hope that he will not disappoint me.”

A gust of wind blew by, and the mist inside the dilapidated temple gradually dissipated. Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai also woke up from their unconsciousness.

Qi Guze quickly asked Xu Yuehuai, "Are you alright?"

Xu Yuehuai shook her head. "I'm fine. How about you?"

“I am also fine. The Imperial Preceptor has passed on all his internal energy to me.”

"What?"

"He may have planned this all along."

"It's hard to say whether all of this is a blessing or a curse."

Let's just keep moving forward and see how things go.

Qi Guze helped Xu Yuehuai up, and the two walked out of the dilapidated temple.

They knew that from then on, their fate would be inextricably linked with that of the four kingdoms.

The four kingdoms will also be thrown into turmoil because of the succession of the national advisor.

As night fell, Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai hurriedly returned to their residence.

Their son, Qi Zi'ang, a lively and adorable child, ran excitedly over upon seeing their return and hugged their legs tightly.

"Father, Mother, where did you go just now?" Qi Zi'ang asked curiously. His eyes sparkled, full of childlike curiosity and innocence.

Xu Yuehua smiled gently, took out a delicate little windmill from her sleeve, and handed it to Qi Ziang. "Look, what is this?" she asked softly.

Qi Ziang took the windmill, and a bright smile immediately appeared on his face. "Wow, it's a windmill! Thank you, Mother!" He excitedly waved the little windmill and ran around in the courtyard of the mansion, his laughter clear and melodious.

At the same time, Xia Sen and the little princess also rushed over upon hearing the news. Their faces showed a hint of worry, clearly concerned for the safety of Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai.

Xia Sen frowned, a hint of doubt in his eyes. "There's an unusual scent about you," he said in a deep voice.

Xu Yuehuai was slightly taken aback, not expecting Xia Sen to be so sensitive to auras, able to detect the abnormality on them. A hint of appreciation flashed in her eyes as she smiled and explained, "We just went outside the city, and the aura there is different from what we usually encounter."

The little princess also curiously came over, her eyes sparkling. "What did you go outside the city to do?" she asked.

Xu Yuehuai replied casually, "We went to collect some herbs to make some medicinal dishes for Zi'ang." She gently stroked Qi Zi'ang's head, her eyes full of affection.

Hearing that it was for Qi Ziang, both the little princess and Xia Sen breathed a sigh of relief. Xia Sen's brows gradually relaxed. "I see." He nodded. "You two need to be careful," he instructed.

Xu Yuehua nodded with a smile, "Don't worry, we will." Her eyes were full of determination and tenderness.

As night deepened, the mansion was brightly lit. Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai's family sat around the dining table, enjoying a delicious dinner.

While eating, Qi Zi'ang excitedly recounted his experience of playing with windmills in the courtyard of the mansion. His voice was childlike and cheerful, full of innocence and happiness.

Xia Sen and the little princess listened quietly, occasionally interjecting with questions. Warm smiles radiated from their faces, clearly touched by the family's happiness.

After dinner, Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai began to clear the dishes. Qi Ziang ran off to play, his little windmill still spinning in his hand, making a pleasant sound.

Xia Sen and the little princess went out into the yard to admire the starry sky. "What do you think of their family?" the little princess asked softly.

Xia Sen was silent for a moment. “They are very happy,” he said slowly. “This kind of ordinary happiness is what we pursue.” His eyes revealed a hint of envy and longing.

The little princess nodded gently. "Yes, this kind of simple happiness is the most precious." There was a hint of emotion in her voice. "Sometimes we pursue too much and forget what is most important."

As night fell, the laughter and conversation of Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai's family could be heard intermittently. Xia Sen and the little princess stood quietly in the courtyard, enjoying the tranquility.

At that moment, time seemed to stand still, leaving only these heartwarming scenes imprinted in everyone's hearts.

Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai took Qi Ziang back to the house to rest early. Before leaving the courtyard, they also told Xia Sen and the little princess to rest early as well.

Xia Sen watched the three of them leave and said with a smile, "Okay! Don't worry, Sister!"

The little princess noticed a different emotion flash across his eyes and asked curiously, "Brother Xia, what's wrong?"
