"It's nothing, let's go inside and rest." Xia Sen said, turning around and walking into the house first.
The little princess didn't notice the hint of gloom in his eyes and obediently followed behind him.
Xu Yuehuai looked at the two figures standing side by side, and the corners of her mouth involuntarily turned up.
Qi Guze looked at her with a maternal smile and couldn't help but flick her forehead. "What are you looking at? Let's go."
"Hehe, it's nothing, let's go back."
As Xu Yuehuai spoke, she picked up Qi Ziang from the ground and followed him into the house.
......
The next day, just as dawn was breaking, Xu Yuehuai woke up. As soon as she opened her eyes, she found Qi Ziang lying there beside her, his body burning hot.
She panicked immediately and quickly woke up Qi Guze beside her, "Guze, wake up quickly, Zi'ang seems to be sick."
Qi Guze immediately woke up and sat up abruptly in bed. "What happened?"
“When I touched him just now, his whole body was burning hot. Go and call Xia Sen over to take a look.”
Xu Yuehuai was so anxious she was almost crying; she was completely flustered.
"Okay, don't worry, I'll go call Xia Sen over right away." Qi Guze said, lifting the covers and getting out of bed.
He had barely gotten out of bed when his legs gave way and he almost fell to the ground.
Seeing this, Xu Yuehuai quickly reached out to support him, "What happened to your leg?"
"It's nothing, he probably just got numb from sleeping." Qi Guze sighed inwardly.
"Is your leg alright?" Xu Yuehuai felt extremely distressed looking at his pale face.
"It's really nothing, don't worry." Qi Guze said, then glanced at Qi Ziang on the bed. "I'll go call Xia Sen over first."
"Okay, be careful."
Xu Yuehuai watched him nod and turn to walk away, and felt a pang of sadness in her heart.
In truth, Qi Guze's injuries hadn't fully healed, and the constant running around and exhaustion these past few days had taken a toll on his body. But he was just forcing himself to keep her from worrying.
Sigh... I wonder when they will be able to live a peaceful life.
Qi Guze strode into the dimly lit room, where a heavy atmosphere filled the air. He saw Xia Sen still lying on the bed, his eyes closed, seemingly not fully awake.
He frowned, walked to the bedside, and gently nudged Xia Sen's shoulder. "Xia Sen, get up quickly, something happened to Zi Ang."
Qi Guze's voice carried a hint of anxiety. Xia Sen groggily opened his eyes, and upon seeing Qi Guze's anxious face, he instantly snapped awake. He scrambled out of bed and followed Qi Guze out of the room.
Walking down the long corridor, Xia Sen saw Xu Yuehuai sitting by the bed, her hands tightly gripping Qi Ziang's burning arms. The little guy's face was flushed, his body was burning hot, and he was unconscious. Xia Sen's heart sank; he knew Qi Ziang's condition was dire.
He strode forward and reached out to touch Qi Zi'ang's forehead. His brows were furrowed and his expression was grave. "Zi'ang's condition is very serious. It seems he has contracted a very strange and serious illness."
Upon hearing this, Xu Yuehuai's expression changed. "Then what should we do? Can you cure him?"
Xia Sen paused for a moment, then shook his head. "My medical skills are not good enough; I can't cure this disease. My master, the Ghost Doctor, might have some solutions, but he should be in the Underworld Kingdom right now."
"I'll send someone to call him back right away!" Qi Guze said decisively, turning to leave.
"Wait!" Xu Yuehuai suddenly called out to him, "What if even the Ghost Doctor can't cure Zi'ang?"
Qi Guze stopped in his tracks, remaining silent. Silence fell over the room, the atmosphere growing increasingly heavy. Xia Sen looked at the unconscious Qi Zi'ang on the bed, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He couldn't bear to watch this precious little life fade away before his eyes.
He recalled the strange and serious illnesses and treatments his master had mentioned before, and a bold idea came to his mind. "Perhaps there is another way we can try."
Xia Sen looked at Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai, his eyes shining with determination, "That is to find the legendary divine herb—the Jade Pool Immortal Herb. It is said that it can cure all diseases, including this strange and serious illness."
Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai exchanged a glance, both looking puzzled.
"The Jade Pool Immortal Herb?" Qi Guze asked, "Does such a thing really exist?"
Xia Sen nodded. "My master once mentioned it, but this divine herb grows in extremely harsh environments, and very few people are able to find it."
Xu Yuehua bit her lip. "Since this is the only hope, we must do our best to find it."
Qi Guze was silent for a moment, then said, "I will send people to search for the Jade Pool Immortal Herb, and at the same time, I will urge the Ghost Doctor to return as soon as possible."
His gaze turned to Xia Sen, "Xia Sen, you stay here to take care of Zi Ang. Tell me immediately if anything happens."
Xia Sen nodded. "I will." He sat on the edge of the bed and gently stroked Qi Ziang's burning forehead. He silently prayed that this little life could pull through.
On that gloomy afternoon, Qi Guze's face was heavier than the dark clouds.
Qi Ziang, who was once a lively and energetic child, suddenly fell ill and fell into a coma.
He kept calling out, "Mother, Mother, my body hurts so much!"
Whenever she heard that sound, Xu Yuehuai's eyes would well up with tears, her moist eyes sparkling with worry.
Without hesitation, Qi Guze immediately sent men to find the Ghost Doctor. The Ghost Doctor might be their only hope. He was not only highly skilled in medicine but also surrounded by many miraculous legends. However, finding him would not be easy; it would require traversing vast mountains and forests, and crossing rivers.
Despite the difficulties ahead, the people sent out still embarked on their journey without hesitation.
Meanwhile, Qi Guze sent people to search for the whereabouts of the Jade Pool Immortal Herb. This herb was a rare treasure of the Jade Pool, said to have the power to bring the dead back to life. However, finding it was by no means easy. But for Qi Zi'ang, they were willing to pay any price.
In the past few days, Xu Yuehuai and Xia Sen have stayed by Qi Ziang's bedside without leaving him for a moment.
Xu Yuehuai's eyes were filled with worry and anxiety, while Xia Sen remained silent, but the worry in his eyes was self-evident. They knew that as long as they didn't give up, hope remained.
Zhou Wan rushed over after hearing the news, her eyes filled with concern. "What happened to Zi'ang?" she asked anxiously.
Xu Yuehuai was silent for a moment, then choked up and said, "He has a strange illness, and I don't know what's wrong with him."
A hint of pain flashed in Zhou Wan's eyes. "This poor little guy, how did he get sick?"
The little princess sighed as well, "I really hope he gets better soon." Her voice was as gentle as a spring breeze, yet it carried endless earnestness and anticipation.
