Chapter 280 New Discoveries

The meditation room fell into a brief silence after the golden light dissipated. Wang Hao slumped in Han Feng's arms, his breathing weak but steady, a satisfied smile still lingering on his lips. The surrounding team members exchanged bewildered glances, while Tie Ta touched his once bruised elbow in disbelief—it was now smooth as ever.

"Rain Butterfly," Han Feng called softly, "Take Haozi to the barracks to rest and prepare some high-energy food."

The petite female team member immediately stepped forward and carefully took Wang Hao from Han Feng's hands. When she touched Wang Hao's arm, a faint light suddenly appeared at her fingertips, and she was so surprised that she almost let go.

"Don't be afraid," Han Feng encouraged. "Your energy resonated with his; your fundamental powers are both stellar power, which is a good sign."

Yu Die nodded, helped Wang Hao up, and walked towards the door. As they passed the doorway, Wang Hao barely managed to lift his heavy eyelids and mumbled "Sorry" to the tower, which made the big guy scratch his head and chuckle sheepishly.

After the door closed, the remaining people immediately surrounded them. Chen Feng was the first to speak: "Captain, what exactly happened? Wang Hao just now..."

"Healing ability." Han Feng looked around at everyone, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "And it's a special healing based on the power of faith. This might be a skill unique to his Star Soul Priest form."

Iron Tower stretched his shoulders, his face full of disbelief: "When that light entered my body, it felt like I'd drunk a super tonic. Although my hidden ailments were all resolved after the previous cleansing and marrow-refining treatment, the fatigue I'd been experiencing recently vanished instantly."

"It can even eliminate fatigue...?" Han Feng stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"Captain, you just said Wang Hao is a Star Soul Priest. What exactly is a Star Soul Priest?" Viper rarely asked.

"Star Soul Priests are special beings who assist the Star Soul Lord," Han Feng explained to the group. "In large-scale battles, they can guide the energy of the surrounding battlefield, including healing, amplification, and other support abilities."

Han Feng recalled similar information mentioned in the Absolute Fiery Legacy, but at the time, his attention was focused on combat techniques. Now it seems that Wang Hao may have awakened this ancient legacy.

"Tomorrow's training plan has been adjusted." Han Feng quickly made a decision. "Chen Feng will be responsible for helping Haozi master basic energy control; Tie Ta will continue his physical training; Yu Die will record his ability fluctuations." He paused, then added, "Be careful not to let him overexert himself again."

"What about you, Captain?" Iron Tower asked curiously.

Han Feng looked out at the night sky: "Of course I'm going back to rest. I'm only responsible for sending him here for special training. You guys carry out the specific projects. By the way, we're starting operations against some non-alliance families the day after tomorrow, and I need Haozi to participate as well." Han Feng's decision wasn't without reason. Since the Star Soul Priest is an aid to the Star Soul Lord, especially now that he has awakened these abilities ahead of schedule, he should make good use of him.

Chen Feng suddenly remembered something: "Right, what did Wang Hao mean by 'spots of light' at the end?"

"That's the physical manifestation of his abilities," Han Feng recalled Wang Hao's description. "When he feels the team's trust, those points of light transform into healing energy." He then looked meaningfully at his teammates. "So your attitude is crucial—genuine trust is the key to unlocking his abilities."

Everyone nodded thoughtfully. Iron Tower patted his chest and assured him, "Don't worry, Captain, we'll treat Wang Hao like a younger brother!"

"Don't force it," Han Feng said with a smile, shaking his head. "Just let things take their course. Let's dismiss everyone now; everyone's tired today."

The team members left the meditation room one by one, until only Han Feng remained. The star chart shimmered faintly in the moonlight, and the golden dust released by Wang Hao still lingered in the air. Han Feng reached out and touched the dissipating particles, feeling a warm energy flow into his fingertips.

(The power of faith...)

Moonlight streamed through the skylight onto the floor of the meditation room, dividing the star chart into geometric patterns of light and shadow. Han Feng sat alone amidst the light and shadow, his fingertips unconsciously tracing the paths of stars in the air.

"If what Zero said is true, and each Star Soul Lord has different followers, then Haozi awakened as a Star Soul Priest, so will the others also awaken as different identities?"

Once the thought took hold, it was hard to ignore. Han Feng recalled the details of each team member's awakening of their abilities.

Most strangely, these abilities all seem to be related to the star trails he planted. The trajectories of the stellar power he implanted in his teammates to protect them in times of crisis now look more like some kind of... activation program.

Han Feng stood up, his shadow stretching long in the moonlight. Outside the window, searchlights from the Longyuan Base swept across the helipad, where several armed helicopters lay dormant like sleeping steel behemoths. This scene suddenly reminded him of something Zero had once said:

The Lord of Star Souls never fights alone.

At the time, he thought it was just a metaphor, but now it seems that perhaps all the Star Soul Lords of the past had their own forces? It's just that the methods were different—the predecessors relied on recruitment, while he seems to have directly created Awakened Ones.

"Could it be that I altered the Star Soul Lord's growth trajectory...?"

This realization made Han Feng's heart race. He pulled out his phone; a smiling photo of Liu Mengran and Su Wanwan was the lock screen wallpaper. These two girls also had the Star Orbit he had planted within them—could it be...?

My finger hovered over the call button for a moment, but I ultimately locked the screen. Some things I had to confirm with my own eyes.

The sensor lights in the base's garage lit up one by one with Han Feng's footsteps. His black SUV was parked quietly in its designated spot, and the moment his finger touched the door handle, the vehicle's system automatically activated, and the dashboard glowed with a faint blue light.

The engine's low growl sounded particularly muffled in the enclosed garage. Han Feng rolled down the car window, letting the night breeze in to clear his thoughts. In the rearview mirror, the gates of the Longyuan base slowly closed, and the soldiers on guard duty saluted in the direction he had left.

In that instant, Han Feng sensed a subtle energy fluctuation—as if someone were gently tugging at the invisible thread connecting them from afar. He instinctively looked towards the passenger seat, which was empty, yet seemed to contain the illusory images of the entire Reverse Scale Squad: Iron Tower's憨厚 (honest and simple) smiling face, Chen Feng's gesture of adjusting his glasses, Yu Die's fingertips playing with the dagger, and the floating specks of light in Wang Hao's palm...

(The power of faith? No, it's much closer...)

This is a completely new way of connecting, an energy network built on the dual foundations of star orbits and trust. Han Feng could sense that a subtle stellar energy was flowing through this network at this moment, weak yet continuous.
