Chapter Fourteen Bloodline Suppression

The actions were very ambiguous, but Yun Zhe kept complaining in his heart: Are all vampire battles this simple? Is it just about speed and strength going head-to-head?

With no voice in his mind, Yun Zhe stopped complaining.

The situation suddenly reversed. Taken aback, Ellie flipped over and pinned Yun Zhe beneath her, feeling triumphant. But Yun Zhe flipped over again, pinning her once more. This time, however, Yun Zhe used all his strength, and Ellie's attempt to repeat the trick was completely ineffective.

"You call yourself a vampire, huh?" Yun Zhe genuinely felt that this girl was nothing special and revealed a mocking smile.

Ellie felt her arms pressed firmly to the ground as if cast in iron chains, completely unable to move. A sense of doubt crept into her mind; how could he, who had seemed so weak just moments before, suddenly become so powerful?

Ellie suddenly thought of a possibility: that this Aruruman deliberately did that at the beginning to confuse and lull her into a false sense of security, so that she would reveal her true strength and strike successfully when she was off guard.

"Despicable!" Ellie suddenly realized, and couldn't help but curse out loud in anger. Her voice was clear and melodious, quite different from her usual demeanor, but it was indeed pleasant to hear.

Yun Zhe was completely baffled by this word, "despicable." Recalling the duel just now, it had been so simple and direct—where was the despicableness?

"Stop talking nonsense and tell me, why are you following me?!" Yun Zhe feigned anger and said fiercely.

Ellie's eyes glazed over after hearing this, and she replied softly, "Just curious. I followed you while I was looking for Alice." Her eyes cleared, but were immediately filled with fear. She had felt this way before; those painful, unbearable memories flooded her mind like a tidal wave. Once again controlled by a vampire of the opposite sex, Ellie stared at Yun Zhe's pointed ears, silently praying that this Aruru vampire would let her go.

Yun Zhe inwardly scoffed, thinking she was going to rob him of his money and virtue, but it turned out she was just curious and happened to be passing by. Yun Zhe noticed the changes in Ellie's eyes, and a bold guess surfaced in his mind. He swallowed hard and asked, "Answer me, how much money have you saved, and where is it?!"

Ellie's eyes glazed over again, and she answered in a soft, inarticulate voice, "My money is all in the chest in my room. There are fifteen gold coins, two hundred and forty-five silver coins, and three hundred and thirty copper coins." Her eyes cleared again after she finished speaking, but the fear in them deepened. She couldn't remember what she had just said; the blankness in her mind told her that this control was even more domineering and intense than the last time.

Why can I control you?

"Older vampires can use language to control younger vampires. This is called bloodline suppression."

After hearing this, Yun Zhe remained silent for a long time, thinking to himself, "So that's the reason. How interesting. If there were a ten-thousand-year-old vampire, wouldn't that be the head of the vampires? Sigh, how old are you?" Yun Zhe asked himself.

There was no response.

After suppressing Ellie for a while longer, Yun Zhe grew bored, released her, and got up to walk to the side. It wasn't that Yun Zhe was particularly gentlemanly; it was just that tonight, seeing Alice's disheveled state and learning that he could control this young and beautiful vampire, his blood boiled, and he couldn't help but think of some forbidden images.

However, Yun Zhe did not want to do that, to use this advantage to satisfy his own desires, because he would feel despicable if he did so.

Although Yun Zhe is now a vampire, he still retains the pride of being a graduate of Avery College.

Ellie scrambled to her feet, bewildered. She didn't understand why this man had let her go again. She looked at Yun Zhe and saw a pair of dark eyes gleaming in the night. Suddenly, a voice exploded in her mind, "How many years have you been a vampire?"

"Seventy years," Ellie answered instinctively, before realizing what had just happened.

Yun Zhe nodded. He was satisfied; at least he was an old vampire older than a seventy-year-old vampire.

But Ellie didn't leave as Yun Zhe had predicted; instead, she stood there, graceful and elegant.
