Chapter 3 First Encounter

After reviewing the materials, Li Jia had a preliminary impression of his three younger siblings. The teacher's comments were his main basis for evaluating them. After reading the materials, Li Jia threw the printed materials into the trash can and burned them completely with a lighter.

Looking at the documents that had been burned to ashes, Li Jia remembered that he hadn't sent money to his younger siblings for two years. He hoped they wouldn't blame him. "The horror of that place forced Li Jia to reluctantly give up the only means of communication he used to have with his family. He didn't want to be discovered by those guys as soon as he arrived with his younger siblings. He had disappeared from the face of the earth so that he could safely return to his younger siblings. Now that he had achieved the first step, he could just bear with it for the time being."

"Back then, I paid a heavy price to leave that place. Until I'm absolutely sure it's safe, please forgive me for not being able to acknowledge you. I'll stay by your side and protect you until the day we can recognize each other." Li Jia sincerely apologized to his younger siblings in his heart. Then, he wiped away his login traces, shut down the computer, got up, went downstairs, and came to Zhou Xiaoyu, who was still operating the machine. "Xiaoyu, I've come up with a few publicity plans. Can you take a look and see which one is feasible?"

“Okay, but Xiaoyu doesn’t know many characters.” After saying that, Zhou Xiaoyu wiped her hands and hopped over to Li Jia.

"It's okay, brother. Let me tell you something. Our store has been open for almost half a month now. I think we should do some advertising on the platform and hand out some flyers, what do you think?"

“Okay, brother, take some time to hire a professional media company to make some video promotions and flyers. Then, while we’re not too busy right now, Xiaoyu and I can go out and distribute them in the neighborhood. I don’t know anything about getting videos on media outlets, so you can figure that out yourself!” After hearing Li Jia’s words, Zhou Xiaoyu tilted her head and happily started making arrangements.

“Alright, then I’ll find a company to make the flyers. Let’s put the media promotion on hold for now. You can keep busy in the shop. If you get busy later, I’ll find you a companion.” Just as Li Jia finished speaking and was about to leave, the phone rang. Zhou Xiaoyu quickly answered, “Hello, this is Shujia Dry Cleaning Shop… Oh, okay.” After hanging up, Zhou Xiaoyu said, “Brother Li, Sister Zhang asked me to deliver that suit to her. She’s our first customer, so could you please go and deliver it to her?”

"Hehe, okay, is this Sister Zhang from the military hospital?" Li Jia said, taking the neatly ironed suit from Zhou Xiaoyu.

"Yes, it's Sister Zhang. Hurry up, her husband is waiting for it, otherwise she wouldn't be in such a hurry to have it delivered." Zhou Xiaoyu said without looking up as she skillfully ironed a high-end shirt.

Seeing her focused expression, Li Jia smiled, took the suit, and walked out of the store. The white Passat slowly started and drove towards the military hospital. Less than 100 meters across the street, a black Honda minivan that had been parked there for a long time also started up and followed the Passat at a leisurely pace.
