Chapter 44: Encounter in Town (2/2)

After buying the cloth, Tang Wan went shopping again. She didn't lack other things, so she only bought some small items.

Ever since she went to Grandma Bai's house, she had malted milk every day, mainly to coax Grandma Bai to drink it. Tang Wan usually added a little spiritual spring water to it.

After buying two more boxes of malted milk, Tang Wan had nothing else to buy.

After leaving the supply and marketing cooperative, Tang Wan went directly to the state-owned restaurant.

Tang Wan had not eaten breakfast since she left home early in the morning, so she was hungry by this time.

Before entering the state-owned restaurant, Tang Wan put all the things she bought from the supply and marketing cooperative into the space, and took out the three aluminum lunch boxes that were previously in the space.

The food she had bought from the state-owned restaurant had helped Tang Wan comfortably get through her time at the educated youth's restaurant, but she hadn't used it since she started eating at Grandma Bai's. Now Tang Wan was taking it out again, wanting to buy some to take back home so they wouldn't go hungry when Qin Zheng was busy.

State-owned restaurants usually serve fried chicken and braised dishes.

Tang Wan ordered a bowl of noodles for herself and also packed up some fried chicken and braised dishes.

Her three aluminum lunch boxes were quite eye-catching, and everyone who came to eat at the state-owned restaurant would take a few glances at them.

Tang Wan didn't feel anything about these people's attention. After being hungry for the whole morning, she put her lunch box down and started eating her meal.

But she was so focused on eating that she didn't notice the tall figure walking in from the door.

The man came in and looked around first, obviously looking for someone. After seeing Tang Wan concentrating on eating and three lunch boxes beside her, the man paused and walked towards Tang Wan.

Tang Wan was still eating when she felt someone patting her head.

When I looked up, it was Qin Zheng.

Qin Zheng seemed to be in a good mood. Although there was no expression on his face, Tang Wan could tell from her understanding of him that he was in a really good mood.

"I know you are right." Qin Zheng's low voice was filled with determination.

Tang Wan's face flushed inexplicably. It was as if he knew just by saying that you were a foodie.

"Have you eaten?" Tang Wan quickly changed the subject.

"No, I'm going to order some food." Qin Zheng said as he went to the counter to order food.

The two of them finished their meal together before leaving the state-owned restaurant.

Qin Zheng held Tang Wan's three aluminum lunch boxes in his hands. He put some rice in them and looked at Tang Wan with raised eyebrows.

"When you are busy and don't have time to cook, you can heat up these meals and eat them." Tang Wan explained weakly. She didn't know why, but she always thought so, but it was a little difficult to say it now.

Qin Zheng had no other reaction after hearing Tang Wan's explanation, he just said: "It's too hot to keep it."

Qin Zheng said this and went out with his lunch box.

The two left here and went to the post office first.

Just as Tang Wan thought, Tang Yu had already sent the package.

This time the package was not very big, but it was very heavy. Qin Zheng reached out to take it and let Tang Wan hold the three lunch boxes.

Qin Zheng didn't ride his bicycle this time. After making sure that Tang Wan didn't want to buy anything, he took Tang Wan to the yard where he had parked the bicycle last time.

"The sun is scorching right now. Let's take a rest here and go back when it's not so hot after the party." Qin Zheng said to Tang Wan as he opened the door.
