Upon hearing this, Yunmu beamed with joy. Luckily, Yun Er was quick-witted.
"Second Brother, you're the most capable one. If you fancy any girl, I'll personally go to her house and ask for her on your behalf."
Yun Er covered his mouth and laughed awkwardly, "Madam, I haven't taken a fancy to any girls yet."
Yunmu patted him and comforted him, "It's alright. My sister-in-law wrote to say that the girls in the south are very pretty. I'll pick one out for you carefully later."
The girl from the north was not worthy of his unparalleled beauty. After the lady said this, Yun Er longed for the south even more, and imagined that beautiful and graceful figure in his mind.
After dinner, Yunmo prepared to ask his mother where the room assigned to him was.
Yun Er quickly ate all the food from his bowl, stood up, and pulled Yun Mo outside.
"Where are you going?" Once outside, Yun Mo flung his hand away.
Yun Er, "Aren't you going back to your room to rest?"
As the two walked outside into the courtyard, they heard Old Mrs. Zhao's extremely penetrating voice.
"Is my room here?" Yun Mo looked at Yun Er in confusion, wondering if he had come to the wrong place.
Yun Er pushed him into the courtyard. "That's right, our house is here?"
"Us?" He glanced at Yun Er and said disdainfully, "I don't want to sleep with you."
Yun Er strode into the courtyard, "It's not just you and me, it's the seven of us sleeping with you."
"There aren't any rooms left? With so many of us crammed into one room, how can we all sleep?"
"I can sleep."
Pushing open the door, Yun Er lit a tinderbox.
Yun Mo was completely stunned by the large kang bed in the room. This kang bed could easily accommodate ten people, let alone eight.
