Chapter 163 Persuasion (2/2)

He Chuan laughed and scolded him, "Don't say poaching is such a harsh word. Here's what I'm thinking: instead of going through all the trouble to find unfamiliar drivers in Beijing, why not come back and see if there are any brothers from the previous transport team willing to come? After all, we've been together for so long, it's easier to convince them, and the treatment I offer is no worse than what the Beijing transport team offers."

"Okay, you've been on the bus for so long, just rest here with me tonight, and I'll go with you tomorrow." Jiang Dashi said decisively.

The next day, early in the morning, the two of them took a car to the transport team in the county town.

"Hechuan, Dashi? Come back and take a look?" The guard saw them from a distance and greeted them with a smile.

"Yes, I came back to see my master and brothers." He Chuan handed over a pack of cigarettes.

The guard let them in immediately, and He Chuan and Jiang Dashi first came to the office of their master Zhang Weiye.

Zhang Weiye looked at the two of them in surprise, "Why are you back?" He heard that He Chuan had gone to Beijing to study, so why did he come back?

"It's because I missed you, Master, so I came back to see you." Jiang Dashi found a place to sit down and said with a smile.

"Master, these are your favorite cigarettes and wine." He Chuan put the things down and said.

Zhang Weiye laughed and scolded, "You guys are missing me, aren't you? You don't come to the temple for no reason, are you? You're smoking and drinking, tell me, what's the matter? I will help you if I can."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Dashi hurried over. "Master, I have something to ask. He Chuan and I have opened a transportation company in Beijing. It's a state-owned enterprise, and we own the management rights. We'd like to ask you to come over and help us. What do you think?"

Zhang Weiye's eyes widened. What? Did he hear correctly? These two guys opened a transportation company? Zhang Weiye mechanically turned his head to look at He Chuan, looking at him questioningly.

He didn't dare to believe what Jiang Dashi said, so he went to verify whether He Chuan was reliable.

He Chuan nodded and said, "It's true, Master. We would like to ask you to help us. Don't worry about the treatment. It's no worse than here, or even worse than the transport team in Beijing."

He Chuan thought about it and decided it would be best to get Master Zhang over there. He'd have to juggle some of his studies after school started, so he couldn't be there all the time. Someone needed to oversee the company's daily operations and management. Master Zhang had been involved in transport operations for decades and was well-versed in both management and training. If he could go, He Chuan and Jiang Dashi would have a much easier time.

Moreover, after spending more than a day together, He Chuan knew that Master Zhang was a person with a cold exterior but a warm heart. He was also serious and responsible in his work, meticulous, and a person worthy of trust.

"Me? I'm already sixty years old, and I just plan to live a life of idleness and wait for death in this transport team. Forget it." After hearing what He Chuan said, Zhang Weiye waved his hand in response.

"Master, you are only in your forties and not yet fifty, and you are in the prime of your life. Don't you want to try again? Do you want to stay in this barren and backward land forever? You don't want to go to the prosperous and rapidly developing big cities? Don't you want your future children to live in a better environment? This is an opportunity, a chance that the times have given us to fight. As long as we manage the transportation company well, you can buy a house and settle down in Beijing in the future, and bring your family and children to the city for development." He Chuan persuaded him emotionally.

Master Zhang fell silent. A few days ago, when He Chuan resigned, he lamented that the world was changing too fast and he couldn't keep up, even if he stayed in the transport team until he died. Now He Chuan told him that he could still strive for success, that the world outside was bigger and better, and that he should go out and give his family a better life.

To be honest, he was a little excited, but also a little scared and terrified. The unknown outside world, the unknown future, was beyond his previous experience of driving a sports car and delivering goods.

Zhang Weiye thought for a long time and finally made up his mind. He took a deep breath and said, "Okay, I'll go with you."
