Chapter 29: Building a Snowman
Liu Chengan turned and left: "If you ask me for help, I don't believe you can find the book that Old Master Yan wants. If you find it, I will get out of here."
As soon as he finished speaking, he heard a scream.
He tripped and literally rolled out of the restaurant door like a ball.
Si Tian turned his head to look outside the door, only to see Liu Cheng'an lying on the ground for a long time without getting up.
This is a bit too tragic!
Juanjuan and Si Jinchen's faces were as full of food as those of little cats, and they were looking outside with curiosity.
"Brother, why did this uncle suddenly get out?" Juanjuan's face was full of question marks.
Si Jinchen shook his head: "I don't know, maybe he didn't look at the road when he walked!"
Si Tian looked at Liu Cheng'an who was limping away outside, and remembered the last words he said before he left.
An idea flashed through Mr. Yan's mind as to what he was looking for, and he looked down at the blue cloth bag on his lap.
It can’t be such a coincidence!
However, he sent people to inquire about the news, but there is still no accurate answer.
"Uncle, we're full." Si Jinchen wiped Juanjuan's little face clean and looked at him in a daze.
Si Tian looked at the empty plates in front of them: "Do you want to eat more?"
"No, I'm full." Juanjuan touched his belly with a satisfied look on his face.
Si Tian asked the restaurant to pack a few more cakes to take back to Madam Si and the others.
"Grandma, we are back." As soon as Juanjuan got home, she ran to find Madam Si.
Old Madam Si was squatting and looking at the chick next to Songsong. Was the chick growing a little too fast?
A smile appeared on her face when she heard the two children coming back. She stood up and saw the two little ones running towards her.
Holding her legs, one on each side, he said, "Grandma, we brought you a cake!"
"Oh! What a thoughtful baby." Old Madam Si smiled with her eyebrows curved.
"Woof woof. Mine is missing?"
Juanjuan ran to Songsong and stretched out his little hand to stroke his fur: "I brought some delicious food for Songsong too."
After she finished speaking, she turned to look at the chicks beside her. The yellow fluff had disappeared and they had grown more than a circle. "Wow! You've all grown up."
"They grow so fast. We'll be able to eat their eggs soon." Si Jinchen said as he squatted beside her.
Si Tian pushed the wheelchair in, walked to Madam Si, and handed the blue cloth bag to her: "Mom, look at the words on this book, do you recognize them?"
Mrs. Si took the thing from his hand, opened it and saw that it was a very old book. She had to be careful when opening it, otherwise she was really afraid that it would fall apart with a slight touch.
She flipped through it for a while but couldn't make any sense of it. She shook her head slightly and said, "I don't recognize the words on it. I've never even seen them before."
"Where did this book come from? Is it the book that Mr. Yan is looking for?"
Si Tian looked at the two children playing with Song Song and said, "They got it from a homeless person."
"Homeless man?" Old Madam Si looked at him in surprise.
Si Tian: "Well, I don't know exactly what this book is, but I think I can let my eldest brother take it with him and try it out."
"What are you going to try?" Siming heard the last two words as soon as he came in.
"Brother, I want you to take this book and the two children to see Mr. Yan tomorrow." Si Tian handed him the blue cloth bag.
Siming took the blue cloth bag and listened to him tell the story, tapping it occasionally with his fingers.
"Then let's try it tomorrow. If it's true, it will be a good thing for us. If not, this book should also be an ancient book. We can take it as a gift to make friends."
"I think it's okay." Si Tian nodded with a smile.
"By the way, is there any news about your eldest sister recently? She said she would come back, so why is there no movement at all?" Old Madam Si couldn't help but feel a little worried about her daughter.
"I contacted my brother-in-law earlier. Something happened on the way, so I might be delayed for a while. Don't worry, big sister is fine!"
Sima Ming told the two of them the news he knew.
"Juanjuan, let me take you to build a snowman!" Si Jinchen looked at the snow in the yard.
"Snowman?" Juanjuan's face was full of question marks.
"You'll know in a moment." He said as he pulled Juanjuan and ran towards the yard.
Someone clears the snow in the yard every day, but it has been snowing heavily today and it just stopped.
The housekeeper was having someone clean the snow in the yard when he saw them running out: "Master, Miss, why did you run out?"
"Grandpa Butler, we want to build a snowman." Juanjuan actually didn't know what a snowman was.
"Dad will help you build a snowman, okay?" Siming came out having changed his clothes at some point.
"Dad, can you make a snowman?" Si Jinchen looked at him curiously.
"Of course I will, but you have to help." Siming said and started to snowball.
First, a big snowball was rolled out, and then a small snowball was made and placed on top.
Juanjuan looked around for a long time and said, "It seems like the uncle I saw today."
"Did you see that uncle today?" Siming looked at her strangely.
"She's talking about the second master of the Liu family." Si Tian said as he sat not far away.
"Liu Cheng'an? Did he cause trouble for you?" Siming looked at him and asked.
Si Tian: "That's not the case. He wanted to talk about Mr. Yan looking for a book, but we ignored him."
Juanjuan stretched out his little finger and poked the snowman's belly: "Dad, is this the snowman?"
"It's not done yet. Go find carrots, branches and pebbles." Siming said to the two.
Si Jinchen took Juanjuan and went to the kitchen to find Wu Ma.
"Aunt Wu, we want carrots." Si Jinchen ran to find Aunt Wu who was picking vegetables.
"Wait, I'll get it for you." Aunt Wu stood up and went to find a carrot and handed it to them.
"What do the young master and young lady want carrots for?" She looked at them with a smile.
"Make a snowman." Juanjuan looked at the carrot in his hand and didn't know what to use it for.
"Wait a minute, I'll get you some more things." Aunt Wu turned around and went to find some small branches, and also left some small black coal balls for them.
Put it in a small basket, handed it to them and carried it out of the kitchen.
"Dad, we found it." Si Jinchen ran back with a basket.
Siming took out the things inside and pressed the nose, eyes and mouth, and then inserted branches into both sides of the snowman's body.
Juanjuan looked at the snowman and took off the scarf from around his neck: "Dad, wrap it around the snowman, otherwise it will be cold."
"Okay, let's put it on." Siming picked her up and said, "Juanjuan, put it on."
Juanjuan stretched out her little hand and wrapped her red scarf around it.
Siming put her down: "Does it look good?"
Juanjuan nodded: "It looks good. Dad, can I take it home?"
