Chapter 34 Catherine Reunited

The burly man who had been beaten stood aside, not daring to utter another word.

"Yes, I brought two friends with me!"

Charlie gestured to Joey behind him, and the two of them walked over and stood with him.

"Open the door!"

Charlie didn't waste any words and gave the burly man the order directly.

"yes!"

The burly man dared not be negligent in the slightest. He took the key from his waist and poked it a few times at the large lock hanging on the door.

"Click—"

The door lock opened with a click.

However, he didn't rush to push open the wooden door, but instead pounded on it three more times.

"Bang bang bang!"

After three calls, a deep, middle-aged man's voice came from behind the door.

"Heavenly King covers the Earth Tiger!"

The burly man who had been knocking on the door leaned close to the wooden door and shouted back inside, "The pagoda suppresses the river demon!"

Joey froze on the spot. The code sounded strangely familiar. If Charlie hadn't been there, he would have asked the two of them if they had traveled from somewhere else like him.

However, reason told him that he needed to stay calm. There are too many coincidences in the world. Just like in this other world, there is also a human species that looks almost exactly like him. This is also a coincidence.

"Squeak—"

The wooden door was opened from the inside, and a heavily armored warrior stood in the doorway, glancing around.

The burly man gave up his spot so Charlie could have a better view of what was happening inside the cabin.

All six fully armed soldiers were inside. Except for the one who opened the door, the other five stood up and greeted Charlie.

"Young Master!"

They shouted in unison, and then their expressions relaxed. One of them even sat down again, took out a bag of dried meat from his pocket, and began to eat it leisurely.

"These six people are probably not easy to deal with!"

Joey immediately observed the condition of the six men. Their exposed skin was covered with wounds. Only those who had been through countless battles and crawled out of piles of corpses could possess such a murderous aura.

He thought for a moment, then followed closely behind Charlie.

"You've worked hard!"

Charlie's attitude towards these six people was noticeably better than that of the two people at the door.

It seems the boss clearly distinguishes between the doorman and the actual workers, and doesn't treat them equally.

"We brothers are used to doing things for the town mayor!"

The soldier who had just opened the door smiled at Charlie, glancing at Joey and the bearded man, but he didn't ask about their origins.

Is the person still alive?

Charlie peeked into the house, as if searching for something.

"exist!"

The soldier guarding the door uttered only one word before moving two steps to the side, clearing the way for the entrance.

Charlie didn't stand on ceremony and walked straight in with a smile, followed quickly by Joey and the bearded man.

"Joey, my friend, this is the woman I told you about, the stunning beauty!"

After Charlie finished speaking, he pointed to a woman tied to a pillar in the room.

The woman was tied to a pillar with her hands behind her back. Her clothes were fitted tightly by the ropes, and a cloth bag covered her head, so her face could not be seen.

The reason why it's so easy to tell she's a woman is simply because her feminine features are so prominent that anyone who isn't blind can tell at first glance.

Joey's expression was somewhat complicated. He felt that the protrusions looked strangely familiar. The outline and size seemed to match a pair of protrusions in his memory.

Just then, after Charlie called out Joey's name, the woman tied to the pillar began to struggle violently, and at the same time, a "woo-woo-woo" sound came from under the sack, presumably because her mouth had been gagged.

“Catherine!”

Although he hadn't seen her face under the sack yet, the way she struggled and her almost moaning voice made Joey certain that the bound woman in front of him was none other than Catherine.

Joey didn't dare to make a sound, and could only silently repeat it in her heart.

At the same time, they were also thinking about how to get this unfortunate child away from here safely.
