Joey was pulled back into the bearded man's arms by Uriel, who told him not to get up again.
Uriel was badly injured, but fortunately he was still mentally alert and able to answer Joey's questions.

"They should be fine. They left before the tribal attack, and Sergeant Medes escorted her away with six men at that time!"
"What about Captain Zoro?"
