Bai Ze gently patted the top of her head. "But I like you more than the child."
Su Chen's eyes reddened, and she felt a mix of emotions as she looked at Bai Ze.
She knew he had forgotten her, perhaps during the turmoil of the last world, or perhaps, as Juan had said, he had suffered amnesia thirty-nine years ago. But whatever the reason, he fell in love with her again.
"Why are you crying?" Bai Ze wiped away her tears with his fingertips. "Everything has gone your way, why are you still crying? Are you made of a tearful dumpling?"

The Star Security Executive's first combat mission was a resounding success.
It seemed like a long-cherished wish had finally come true, yet Xing An still felt a sense of unreality. Even after stepping onto the spaceship, she was still in a daze, as if she were about to collapse from exhaustion at any moment.
As her vision blurred, a strong arm supported her, and a voice asked softly, "Are you alright?"
Xing An smiled but didn't answer.
Wu Yue frowned, knowing she couldn't push herself anymore, and increased the strength in her arm. She practically carried her to her bedroom using the strength of one arm.
When they reached the door, Xing'an's footing steadied a bit, and she quickly nudged him, "Okay, I can walk now."
"Really?" Wu Yue looked unconvinced.
Xing An glared at him. "Yes."
"Like a sick cat." Wu Yue mocked as she hugged her around the waist, and the hatch opened as it scanned Xing An's pupils.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Xing An couldn't help but exclaim in surprise as he hugged her.
"I'm not doing anything," Wu Yue said, looking at her meaningfully. "What do you think I would do to a sick cat?"
Xing An's pale face flushed crimson. How dare someone flirt with her! Who had dared to say such ambiguous things to her all these years?
Feeling embarrassed, she immediately rolled to the side and turned her back to him as soon as Wu Yue put her on the bed.
"What? Is this a place for me to lie down?" Wu Yue glanced at him sideways.
The next second, Xing An was about to pounce on him like a wildcat, but when she lifted herself up, she fell back down heavily. "You!" I never knew he was like this before.
Wu Yue frowned; it seemed she was truly exhausted. He left in a hurry this time.
Xing An felt relieved, but the dizziness returned. A short while later, she heard the cabin door open again. She used all her strength to lift her eyes slightly and saw Wu Yue leading the doctor over. Wu Yue said to her, "Don't worry, let the doctor take a look."
His voice had a calming power at that moment, and Xing'an somehow believed him and fell into a deep sleep.
When Xing'an woke up again, she saw Wu Yue guarding her bedside, and... an IV drip.
The IV drip was empty, and some blood had flowed into the tube, so Xing'an quickly pulled out the needle.
I really don't know what role Wu Yue plays here.
Xing An shook her head helplessly, realizing that she still had no strength, but she didn't want to lie down anymore, so she picked up a pillow and placed it on the headboard to prop herself up a little.
"You're awake?" Wu Yue opened her eyes at some point, the whites of her eyes were bloodshot.
Xing'an could tell from his appearance that he hadn't slept much, so she quickly patted the headboard and said, "Lie down for a little while longer."
"That's right!" Wu Yue slapped her thigh, "The IV drip should be finished by now!" She then started to remove the needle from her arm.
Xing An pulled her hand back. "We can't count on our leader. I pulled it off myself when I woke up."
Wu Yue looked at the bluish needle marks on her hand and felt annoyed.
