Tommy turned and walked away without looking back.
"Who is he?" Arthur asked in an unfriendly tone.
"I guess you could call him...brother?" Su Chen wasn't sure either, but the bond between her and Tommy might have been established when he first embraced her, like an emotion ingrained in their blood.
It's probably family love...
Arthur snorted and asked again, "Brother?"
"So what if he's my brother or not?" Su Chen rolled her eyes at him.
Unexpectedly, this person turned around and left... left...
Seeing the female lead lying unconscious on the ground, Su Chen had no choice but to carry her on his back without complaint.
She had a phrase she didn't know whether she should say or not.
"Female lead...you should lose weight."
When Su Chen arrived at the vampire hunter's lair, he felt like he was half dead.
There was no one to arrange a room for the female lead, so Su Chen had no choice but to carry her to her own room, place her on one side of the bed, and then curl up on the other side to sleep.
"It smells so good... spicy blood curd... old soup blood sausage..." Su Chen closed her eyes, made a clawing motion in the air, and then smacked her lips a few times.
"Hey!" Ethel gently patted her shoulder from the side. "Hey!"
Suddenly, all the dishes on the table disappeared, leaving only a fair face with a few freckles on the tip of her nose, making her look rather cute.
Is this the female lead? Does Count Polidori like cute types?
"Can you tell me where this is?" Ethel asked, then suddenly exclaimed, "Oh dear! I've seen you in the castle!"
As soon as Su Chen woke up, she heard her screaming and yelling. It was the time when her morning grumpiness was rising. Looking at the female lead's face, Su Chen resisted the urge to slap her away.
Did you save me?
Su Chen: "Mm."
"Thank you." Aither smiled innocently.
"No need, just go and urge Arthur to prepare the food for me." After saying that, Su Chen covered her head and went back to sleep.
After a while...
"We've arrived." Aither carefully placed a bowl of blood on Su Chen's bedside table.
Su Chen smelled the fragrance of blood, sat up abruptly, and gulped down a bowl of it.
No... this tastes wrong.
Although this bowl of blood was sweet and delicious, it was different from Arthur's blood...
"What is this?" Su Chen had a bold guess.
"I'm sorry, I didn't ask who Arthur was earlier. I was worried you'd be hungry, so... I took my blood. The Count said my blood tastes quite good..."
Before she could finish speaking, Su Chen grabbed her wrist. There was a piece of cloth wrapped around the top of her wrist, and blood was seeping out.
"Tsk, are you stupid? You could go to the kitchen and put some pig's blood or chicken blood in there, why are you hurting yourself?" Su Chen looked at her wrist and felt a little uncomfortable.
"It's okay, I'm used to it anyway." Athel shrugged and smiled indifferently.
Su Chen's resentment at being woken up completely disappeared, and she even felt a sense of indebtedness to the person.
"What time is it now?" Su Chen asked.
Ethel: "Nine o'clock at night."
Su Chen quickly wiped her mouth with her sleeve and went to find Arthur.
Unexpectedly, Arthur's office was locked from the inside, and she couldn't get in.
"Ta-da!"
"Arthur, are you there?"
There was no response from inside.
"Arthur, isn't it stuffy in there?"
There has been no response yet.
"Why don't you arrange a room for her? After all, she's a great contributor to your cause," Su Chen suggested, bringing up the female lead.
Sure enough, the door clicked open from the inside.
Arthur, expressionless and without even glancing at her, went straight to Ethel and led her to an empty room.
