Half an hour later, Su Chen became uneasy.

When I arrived at Arthur's office, the lights were off and it was pitch black.

With a "click," a desk lamp turned on, revealing Arthur's perfect profile in the dim light, as perfect as an ancient Roman god.
As Su Chen watched, she couldn't help but swallow.
"What are you doing sneaking in in the middle of the night?" Arthur's voice had a languid quality typical of someone who has just woken up.
"I..." What reason? To see if there was a woman next to him? Um... that's not a very good reason, even though it's the truth.
"Speak," Arthur said, leaning to one side, resting his head on his hand, his eyes slightly closed.
"I... I was just curious if you were sleeping in the office." That reason... seems a bit far-fetched.
Arthur's eyelids lifted slightly. "To tell the truth."
"Uh... just to see if the female lead is here." Su Chen blurted out important information, and she wanted to slap herself.
"The female lead?" Arthur seemed a little confused.
“Uh… woman.” Su Chen quickly corrected herself.
Arthur raised an eyebrow.
"Well... I'm afraid you'll get carried away by beautiful women during this time and neglect important matters," Su Chen said shamelessly.
"Oh?" Arthur's voice rose in pitch.
"What? You don't believe me?" Su Chen put her hands on her hips, trying to boost her confidence.
"I don't believe it." Arthur chuckled as he watched her silly and adorable actions.
Su Chen was deflated and didn't know what else to say.
Arthur suddenly said, "I arranged for her to stay upstairs?"
Su Chen's mouth dropped open. "You mean Aether?"
Arthur nodded.
Su Chen breathed a sigh of relief, her heart finally settling back into her stomach.
"What, are you jealous?" Arthur raised an eyebrow, a smile playing at the corners of his eyes.
"Vinegar?" Su Chen's heart skipped a beat. "How could it be vinegar? What is vinegar? I've never seen it before, hehe..."
[Tsk tsk, I knew you were acting a bit strange today, turns out you're jealous~] The dog system spoke in a sarcastic tone.
"Oh?" Arthur laughed heartily.
Su Chen suddenly remembered something, "Speaking of which... you seemed to have been jealous before, right?"
Arthur's smile froze, and he sighed.
He frankly admitted, "Yes, I was jealous."
Su Chen seemed surprised by his honesty and was momentarily stunned.
