Chapter 234 The Coffin of Delirium (2)

Bai Di didn’t consider himself an empathetic person, but at this moment, he inexplicably felt that this thing was a little... pitiful?

"Tsk, I must be crazy." He sneered, but walked towards it as if possessed.

As he approached, the golden lines on the surface of the object flowed more rapidly, and even a few tiny lines broke away from the main body and extended tentatively towards him like tentacles.

Bai Di stared at it for a few seconds, then suddenly reached out and lightly touched its surface with his fingertips.

In an instant, a cold shiver ran up my spine from my fingertips.

The touch was neither like metal nor like flesh and blood, but an indescribable texture between reality and illusion.

The scaly surface softened slightly the moment he touched it, and the golden lines slowly wrapped around his fingers like stirred liquid, but without any aggression. Instead, it seemed like some kind of cautious... attachment?

Bai Di was stunned for a moment, then he twitched the corner of his mouth: "...You weren't left here, were you?"

The thing didn't answer, but just rubbed against his palm again.

Bai Di's fingertips were still lingering on the scales of the pitch-black monster, feeling cold and strange, but at this moment, his thoughts were suddenly pulled back to reality -

Ma dumpling.

That heartless guy who always wears a mask was like this at the beginning. He was bewitched and picked up a skeleton and brought it back. As a result, now... God knows what that skeleton is.

Among the four of them, Ma Tuan caused the most trouble and was the most uncontrollable.

"Tsk, I can't make the same mistake again..." Bai Di whispered to himself, tightening his fingers slightly, and was about to pull his hand back -

——A shadow loomed behind him.

The air suddenly cooled down, and a biting chill ran up the back of the neck. Bai Di's pupils shrank, and he almost instinctively rolled to the side to avoid it!

"boom--!!"

A thick layer of white frost instantly formed on the ground where he had originally stood, and ice crystals spread wildly like thorns.

And where he was just now, there was a huge, white-ice-blue object suspended - it looked like a deformed jellyfish, but it was completely opaque, its body had a gel-like texture, and its surface was covered with fine cracks, like a frozen glacier.

The strangest thing is its tentacles - they are not soft and transparent ribbons, but flat and wide, with webbed structures on the edges, just like the flippers of some deep-sea creature.

They slowly expanded and contracted, each movement bringing up tiny ice crystals, and the air seemed to be frozen into tiny ice chips that fell.

Before Bai Di could stand firm, the dark little monster under his hand suddenly jumped up!

“——?!”

The pitch-black creature, which was originally only half a person's height, suddenly expanded. The golden lines on it burned as fiercely as magma, and its scales flipped up layer by layer, making a harsh sound like metal friction.

Its body twisted and stretched, and in an instant it turned into a huge creature that looked like a dragon but was not a dragon. The deformed bone wings on its back spread out "swish", bringing up a fishy wind!

The ice-blue "jellyfish" seemed enraged, a dark crack appeared in the center of its body, and its abyss-like mouth suddenly spewed out an extremely cold mist!

"laugh--!!"

The black-scaled monster didn't dodge or evade. The golden lines suddenly lit up and separated from its body like a living thing, turning into countless thin chains that twisted fiercely towards the frozen fog!

The collision of ice and fire exploded in the air, mist evaporated, ice crystals cracked, and the entire forest trembled!

Bai Di retreated to a safe distance, squinting his eyes as he watched the sudden fight, his expression not changing at all.

"Heh... Looks like I don't have to do anything."

The battle between the two strange beasts became more and more violent, and the entire black and purple forest trembled in their fight.

The tentacles of the ice-blue jellyfish lashed out like whips, and every swing brought a biting cold current, and sharp ice spines instantly condensed on the ground.

The pitch-black beast bit violently, and the golden lines turned into blazing chains, crushing all the incoming freezing fog.

Bai Di stood at the edge of the battle circle, his pupils reflecting this supernatural fight.

Fragments of ice crystals and black scales kept flying, and a few of them brushed against his cheeks, leaving tiny blood marks.

He raised his hand to wipe away the blood, and suddenly discovered that the black-scaled monster's movements seemed... to be deliberately protecting him in a safe range?

As soon as this thought came to mind, something strange happened!

The ice-blue jellyfish suddenly emitted a high-frequency vibration, and the pitch-black mouthparts in the center of its body suddenly expanded to its limit.

The temperature of the entire space plummeted, and Bai Di's breath instantly condensed into white frost. He saw that his cuffs were actually starting to freeze.

"Crack!"

The black-scaled beast let out a deafening roar, and the golden patterns all over its body burst out with light like the sun.

It actually crashed directly into the jellyfish's open abyss mouth, and the two monsters entangled and soared into the sky, exploding a blue and black energy vortex in mid-air.

Just as Bai Di was about to retreat, his vision suddenly went dark.

The black-scaled creature that was supposed to be fighting appeared in front of him at some point, with golden light flowing in its vertical pupils.

Before he could react, he felt a tightening around his waist, as he was wrapped around by something cold and slippery.

The next second, the world was spinning.

"wait......!"

His vision was suddenly swallowed by darkness. The last thing he saw was the monster's bloody mouth opening wide as it loomed over him, its throat crisscrossed by golden lines forming a strange rune.

There was no expected severe pain, only a moist and warm touch enveloping the entire body, as if falling into some kind of living tunnel.

A sticky, squirming sound rang in my ears, mixed with the monster's low heartbeat.

Bai Di opened his eyes wide in the dark and suddenly realized that this guy didn't want to eat him at all.
