Extra Chapter Nine: Missing You

During Wang Boyang's vacation, he followed Gu Yan on his return journey to Country Y.

As the plane slowly landed, the slight tremor stirred ripples in Wang Boyang's heart. The thought of inevitably meeting Gu Yan's mother in the next few days made him a little apprehensive.

Instead of going to the company first, Gu Yan led Wang Boyang directly to Gu Hongxi's villa.

Wang Boyang stood quietly outside the gate, his feet seemingly nailed to the ground, hesitant and filled with trepidation, unable to step through the door.

Gu Yan casually put his hands in his pockets, tilted his head slightly, and looked at Wang Boyang with a hint of teasing but also firmness in his eyes. "Let's go. An ugly daughter-in-law has to meet her in-laws eventually."

Wang Boyang looked worried, his voice trembling with unease, "What if your mother absolutely refuses to agree?"

Gu Yan raised his chin slightly, his expression arrogant. "I'm here to inform her, not to ask for her consent."

“But…” Wang Boyang hesitated.

"No buts." Gu Yan's tone was decisive and firm. "I'm just coming back to tell her, then pack my things and leave."

Without waiting for a reply, Gu Yan pulled Wang Boyang through the gate.

Wang Boyang's gaze slowly fell on the castle-like building in front of him, and his thoughts were instantly drawn back to the time when they came here together that year.

The scenes unfolded before his eyes like a series of paintings, filling him with countless emotions. In a daze, his hand was tightly held by Gu Yan, their fingers intertwined, the warm and strong touch making his heart tremble. He had waited patiently for many years, enduring countless twists and turns, and now it had finally come to an end, yet it all seemed like a fleeting dream.

Upon entering the house, Gu Hongxi was sitting elegantly in the living room, intently reviewing design drawings. Hearing someone open the door, she slowly raised her eyes, expecting it to be a maid, but instead, she saw Gu Yan.

And standing next to him was that person.

Gu Hongxi's expression immediately turned serious.

Looking down, I saw two people holding hands again.

Gu Hongxi chose to ignore it, and scolded her son in a light tone, "Why did you suddenly run back to China without saying a word?"

Gu Yan tightened his grip, holding on even more tightly.

"Have you got a meal yet?"

Gu Yan bit his lip and said loudly, "We're together."

Then he put on a look of being ready to die, waiting for his mother to lose her temper and for him to argue with her.

Gu Hongxi didn't seem to care, her expression remaining unchanged. "How about I have the maid make you a bowl of noodles? Or would you like something else?"

"I love him, and I want to be with him."

"Gu Yan, you haven't even called me 'Mom' since you walked in the door?" Gu Hongxi said with displeasure.

Gu Yan stiffened his neck and didn't answer, but he still showed a defiant attitude.

Wang Boyang frowned. Although he had prepared himself mentally, his hands were still trembling with nervousness when the moment actually arrived.

Wang Boyang rubbed Gu Yan's hand between his thumb and forefinger, drawing courage from the gesture. "Auntie, I know it's hard for you to accept. I don't know what to say to get your approval, but my feelings for Gu Yan are genuine. I love him very much."

"Stop talking, it's grating on my ears." Gu Hongxi said curtly, looking uncomfortable. "Go eat."

Gu Hongxi gathered the blueprints that had fallen on the table, then turned and went to another room.

Wang Boyang was a little stunned. He never expected Gu Hongxi to have such an attitude, refusing to negotiate and completely ignoring him.

Gu Yan, on the other hand, appeared calm and composed. He casually pulled Wang Boyang to sit down at the spacious dining table.

Before long, the maid quickly brought out two bowls of steaming noodles.

Gu Yan picked up his chopsticks without hesitation and began to eat heartily, while Wang Boyang felt as if a small drum was pounding in his heart, so nervous that he had no appetite at all.

Gu Yan slightly raised his head, looked at Wang Boyang, and uttered two simple words: "Eat."

Wang Boyang looked distressed. "I can't eat. Your mother won't even look at me, and she doesn't want to say a word to me."

After hearing this, Gu Yan chuckled lightly with a carefree attitude, "But she didn't kick you out, she even gave you noodles."

Wang Boyang's eyes lit up instantly, and he asked expectantly, "What do you mean? Your mom tacitly agreed?"

Gu Yan shook his head slightly, continued eating his noodles, and replied casually, "I don't know, I'm not sure."

As he spoke, Gu Yan put down his chopsticks and reached out to stir the noodles in front of Wang Boyang. "Anyway, he won't kick us out, so let's stay here and be affectionate in front of her every day. She'll get used to it after a while."

Wang Boyang looked on in surprise, "You can do that?"

Gu Yan raised an eyebrow and said matter-of-factly, "Why not? Hurry up and eat your noodles. After we finish, we'll do what we did last time."

Wang Boyang was completely confused. "What?"

Gu Yan's lips curled into a mischievous smile, his tone ambiguous, "Go kiss her in front of her. Let her get used to it."

Upon hearing this, Wang Boyang swallowed hard and looked at Gu Yan in disbelief, "You really dare to do that."

"Eat. Do you want me to feed you?"

"No need." Wang Boyang finally picked up his chopsticks.

After the meal, the two of them, hands in their pockets and shoulder to shoulder, strolled slowly through the manor.

Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled patterns on the ground. A gentle breeze carried a touch of coolness, making it exceptionally comfortable.

As he was walking, a large yellow dog suddenly darted out from under his feet. Startled by the unexpected appearance, Wang Boyang jerked his foot away. "Isn't that the dog I was teasing earlier?"

Gu Yan turned his head slightly, looked at Wang Boyang, and a faint smile appeared on his lips. "This is its son."

Wang Boyang's eyes widened in disbelief. "It has a son? And the son is already this big?"

Gu Yan looked at Wang Boyang with a hint of resentment in his eyes.

Wang Boyang noticed Gu Yan's gaze, smiled, and looked back at him.

“Every day here, when I see a dog, I think of you playing with it. Every time I think of it, I can’t help but laugh,” Gu Yan said, his voice choked with emotion. “But then I also want to cry.”

I miss you so much.

A warm feeling welled up in Wang Boyang's heart, and he wiped away the tears from the corner of Gu Yan's eyes with his thumb. "How could I not miss you? I'm going crazy thinking about you."

Their eyes met, and everything around them disappeared, leaving only each other.

Gu Yan opened his arms.

Wang Boyang reached out and hugged her tightly.

They hugged for a long time

Wang Boyang said, "Didn't you say you wanted to kiss me? Will you let me kiss you or not?"

"Give"
