The energy beam, powerful enough to rip through light armor, struck his dark gray skin, sending only tiny sparks and ripples! The cracked lava lines lit up faintly, as if absorbing the attack's energy! The high-explosive projectile slammed into his right arm, covered in black keratin. The shockwave from the explosion only caused his massive frame to stagger slightly, leaving behind a few insignificant scorch marks!
"What?!" The soldiers were horrified! Their weapons couldn't even effectively damage the enemy's skin?!
This completely ineffective attack seemed to have completely enraged the ferocious beast that had just awakened!
"roar--!!!"
Pei Du let out an eardrum-shattering roar! His giant, alienated bone claws suddenly lifted up and grabbed at the empty space in the direction of the bunker where the soldiers were hiding!
Buzz!
An invisible, violent repulsive force field instantly formed! Like an invisible giant palm slamming down fiercely!
Boom!!!
The metal wreckage the soldiers were relying on for cover, along with several others behind them who had no time to evade it, was struck head-on by a speeding train! The solid metal instantly twisted and shattered! The soldiers' powered exoskeletons groaned harshly, and blood spurted from their mouths as they were flung back like sacks, crashing into the crumbling, fractured bridge wall behind them. Their bones and tendons were shattered, and their fate was uncertain!
The defense line collapsed instantly!
The few remaining fungus beasts seemed to be shocked by this terrifying power and showed a brief delay.
Pei Du's dark golden pupils swept across the devastated battlefield, looking at the soldiers groaning in pools of blood. There was no pity in his eyes, only a kind of... cold brutality, as if he were observing the struggles of ants. He raised his foot, ready to step on the nearest soldier's head, which was still twitching.
Just then—
Buzz!
A beam of blue energy that was condensed to the extreme and carried high-frequency oscillations and fluctuations, like a precise scalpel, shot out silently from the shadow of a broken pipe above, aiming directly at the elbow joint of Pei Du's alienated giant bone claw covered with a black cuticle!
The energy level of this beam far exceeds the weapons of the soldiers below, and its speed is extremely fast!
Pei Du seemed to sense the threat, his dark golden pupils darting towards the source of the beam! He subconsciously tried to block it with his claws, but his body, seemingly reawakened and struggling with the power, was slow to react for a fraction of a second!

The blue beam accurately hit the relatively weak joint gap between the bone claw and the arm! High-energy particle flow and shockwaves erupted instantly!

Pei Du roared in a mixture of pain and fury! Although the massive bony claw hadn't been severed, the black cuticle covering the joint had instantly burned away, leaving a small, smoking hole, revealing the dark red, lava-like, wriggling internal tissue beneath! A stream of dark red, hot blood spurted out! More importantly, the high-frequency vibrations seemed to disrupt the flow of violent energy within his arm, causing his entire altered right arm to briefly stiffen and lose control!
This was the first time he had suffered substantial damage since he woke up!
He suddenly looked up, and his dark golden vertical pupils, boiling with murderous intent, locked onto the attacker who had just revealed half of his figure in the shadow of the broken pipe above.
The figure was clad in streamlined, matte black body armor. The armor was meticulously designed, covering the entire body, with faint blue energy lines flickering at the joints. The individual wore a silver-gray tactical helmet, its entire face covered by insect-like compound eyes, obscuring their features. The helmet's lenses flashed a calm blue light, fixed firmly on Pei Du below. In his (or her) hand, he (or she) held a long, slender, peculiarly shaped rifle, its muzzle still emitting a trace of blue energy. The complex energy circuitry within the rifle was slowly cooling.
"Target confirmed. High-threat aberration, abnormal energy response, suspected to be directly related to the core annihilation point. Codename: 'Lord of Ashes.'" A cold, emotionless electronic synthesized voice emanated from beneath the helmet, as if recording a battlefield report or reporting to an unknown entity. "Execute liquidation protocol: highest priority."
Before he finished speaking, the mysterious man known as the "Sentinel" vanished into the shadows of the pipes in a flash, like a ghost! Only a faint energy afterimage remained!
Pei Du was furious! The humiliation and excruciating pain of being wounded by an ant completely ignited his already raging desire for destruction! He ignored the remaining fungus beasts and soldiers below him and slammed his massive bone claws fiercely towards the spot where the sentry had disappeared!
boom!!!
The pipe was smashed to pieces! But the sentry was no longer there!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Three sharp blue beams shot out simultaneously from three different directions, like venomous snakes, right in Pei Du's blind spot. Their targets were precisely the gaps in his head where the thorns were embedded, the energy flow nodes in his neck, and the backs of his knees!
This "Sentinel" not only possesses a powerful weapon, but also possesses unpredictable and eccentric movements, possessing terrifying combat experience! He (she) clearly understands Pei Du's defensive weaknesses and exploits speed and the environment to launch a deadly guerrilla attack!
“Roar!” Pei Du swung his bone claws furiously, and dark red energy shock waves spread out like ripples, sweeping away possible hiding spots! The entire broken bridge shook violently under his power, and rubble fell like rain! His dark golden vertical pupils scanned frantically, trying to lock onto the slippery attacker. The violent power in his body surged even more violently under the drive of anger. Under the dark gray skin, the light of the lava lines and mycelium veins flickered violently like breathing, and the conflict intensified! Every burst of power was accompanied by subtle, uncontrollable twitching and stiffness of the body, as if this forcibly pieced together body could be burst by the energy of the internal conflict at any time!
