Jiang Zhulang, after enduring severe cyberbullying, finally decides to give up his 13-year-long comic career and find a normal job.
One evening, on his way home from work, he dreams of entering the world of his abandoned comic. In this dream, he becomes the protagonist, Lan Nuo, an outcast at the magic academy who unexpectedly binds to a bizarre forum system.
The system labels his comic harshly:
[Male protagonist Tie Feiwu: Forever a victim wherever he goes.]
[Terrible plot, a waste of space.]
Unwilling to accept defeat, Jiang Zhulang revisits his discarded plot outlines, steals treasures early, and plans to live a life of luxury. However, his flashy actions attract the villain, leading to his untimely demise.
Jiang Zhulang: "...If I'd known, I would've sewn an extra gemstone on my coat."
Back in the real world, the largest comic platform in China, Cat Comics, teems with talented authors. Yet, a newcomer with rough artwork shocks everyone with their debut comic titled: "Ready to Delete Account, Just Ten Likes Will Do."
Initially, forum discussions mock the comic:
"LOL, the male protagonist dies in the first chapter. No way this will go anywhere!"
"Even with crude art, the pacing is incredible. The story hooks you right away."
"I'm addicted. Is this what genius looks like?"
As the plot unfolds, the forum's tone shifts:
"What’s going to happen next? I’ve racked my brain and still can’t figure it out!"
"Here’s my 1,000-word analysis on the villain’s motives."
"AHHHH! I need to see inside the author’s head to understand where this is going!"
In the comic world, Jiang Zhulang reads the forum posts and remarks:
"Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try out the top theories one by one."
